Kel Grupo Alimentario represents the contemporary oil making business model. The hamlet ‘The Espartal’ in Quel gathers 235 acres of intensive growth and modern oil mill processing systems. Carlos Aldama started this project in 2000, planting 150 acres of arbequina. In 2006, he built the modern and sophisticated mill. In subsequent years, he is still planting new arbequina, arbosana and koroneiki olive trees with which he is experimenting with to get top quality oils. Under the brand ‘Lectus’, Kel Grupo Alimentario sells a high quality oil that has won several awards.
